You got me, I love the original Assassin's Creed games the most. I still cannot at ALL understand why so many people absolutely hate origins. So yeah I'm not a die hard AC fan but as a casual lover of the game, I gotta say, I have never felt so cheated by a fanbase opinion before choosing which game to buy. So much so that I beat it, then bought Valhalla - and although I am enjoying it so far, I found out about the dlc on sale for origins and took a break to go back and finish that. Bayek to me, is the most charismatic protagonist so far and, on the highly decisive subject of AC games, I PERSONALLY really liked the game mechanics of Origins best. About a month ago, because of game pass 😂 I downloaded Origins and I have been so completely enthralled with it since.

I chose Odyssey quite at random, played it for about 8 hours before I was uninterested in the story line and gave up. Took another break from the series, until all three of the "new ones" were out. The first one that I ever played all the way through, was syndicate and I love that game. THEN, when I got back into it, was with black flag and I LOVED it until I had to face the reality that I was not in love with the ship combat mechanics and so I had to end that one early lol. I thought it was cool, immediately, but I really care about the story and some of the early things were kinda lame and off-putting to me, especially the Adam and Eve thing, idk different strokes for different folks. This is a great conversation actually and I'm happy to have it because I think my answer will give you some insight you being an OG fan lol.I played SOME of 1, 2 and 3 and I wasn't interested enough to follow ANY of them through tbh (though to be fair - not because it's not a great set of games but think about the competition at the time).
